国会議事堂に行きました！
Field trip to the National Diet Building!

2月20日、千代田区の永田町駅集合で、荒木一郎名誉教授ご引率のもと、JICA研修生の修士1年生7人、研究生6人の13名が国会議事堂から、この日の視察をスタートしました。

議会の役割や日本の国政がどのように行なわれているのかを議場はじめ、国会のさまざまな部屋を見ながら学びました。議事堂を出てからは、首相官邸を眺め、外務省、国土交通省、総務省、東京高等裁判所、皇居などで荒木教授の名解説により知識を深めました。法務省旧日本館（赤レンガ棟）では、展示室に入室しました。

最後は東京中央郵便局の「KITTEガーデン（６階）」にあがり、庭園ガーデンから、夕刻の東京駅を皆で眺めました。どこにおいても記念撮影をしたくなる名所ばかりで、楽しみながら、おおいに学べ、情報いっぱいのこの日を思い出深く、東京駅で散会いたしました。

The field trip started on February 20th at Nagatacho station in Chiyoda ward under the guidance of Professor Emeritus Ichiro Araki.

Seven first-year master’s students and six research students, the total of thirteen of JICA trainees gathered and visited the National Diet Building at first.

They learned about the role of Diet and how Japan’s national politics are conducted by inspecting various rooms in the Diet including an assembly hall.

After leaving the Diet Building, they viewed the Prime Minister’s official residence, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Land, infrastructure, Transport and Tourism,

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, the Tokyo High Court, and the Imperial Palace.

Students deepened their knowledge through Professor Araki’s superb explanation.

They entered the exhibition room in the red brick building of the former Ministry of Justice main building.

Finally, they went up to the sixth floor of KITTE garden of Tokyo Central Post Office and all looked out at Tokyo Station in the evening from there.

There were so many famous spots that made us want to take commemorative photos wherever we were, and we had so much fun while also learning a lot, making this information packed day and we separated at Tokyo Station.
