日本銀行や最高裁判所を訪問しました！（日本の経済や司法制度の理解を深める）
Visited The Bank of Japan and the Supreme Court！

2月26日、荒木一郎名誉教授ご引率のもと、JICA留学生16名が日本銀行、日枝神社、国立国会図書館、最高裁判所の視察に行きました。日本橋にある日本銀行では、ビデオでまず日本銀行が「発券銀行」「銀行の銀行」「政府の銀行」という3つの役割を持ち、それにより国民が安心してお金を使えることや、また新しいお札の発行時にはたくさんの偽造防止技術が使われていることを学びました。

その後、地下鉄で日枝神社に行き、日本の文化に触れ、そこからは徒歩で国立国会図書館に行きました。図書館では全員が図書カードを作成することができました。

最後に訪問した最高裁判所はとても美しい荘厳な建物で、法廷内にも入ることができました。学生からは、最高裁は年に何度くらい開廷されるかなどの質問が出されました。

夕刻、永田町駅で解散いたしました。

On February 26, 16 JICA international students, led by Professor Emeritus Ichiro Araki, visited the Bank of Japan, Hieda Shrine, National Diet Library, and the Supreme Court.

At the Bank of Japan in Nihonbashi, we watched a video showing the Bank of Japan’s three roles: ①issuance of bills (=money) ②a bank for banks ③a government bank, which allows citizens to use their money with confidence, also learned that many anti-counterfeiting techniques are used when creating new bills.

After that we took the subway to Hieda Shrine, where we experienced Japanese culture and then walked to the National Diet Library. At the library, everyone was able to get a library card.

The last Supreme Court was a very beautiful and majestic building; we were able to enter the courtroom. Students asked questions such as how many times a year the Supreme Court will be held.

In the evening, we parted ways at Nagata Cho station.
