留学生と蛍の保全活動について学びました
Environmental Study Tour -Firefly Preservation Activity- in Segamisawa

2026年6月5日、小池名誉教授ご引率のもと、留学生を対象としたフィールドトリップを実施し、横浜市栄区の瀬上沢を訪れました。

住民による瀬上沢地域の蛍生息環境保護活動について事前資料で学んだ後、当日は夕暮れからホタル観察を行いました。参加した留学生たちは、自然豊かな環境の中で舞うホタルの幻想的な光を楽しみながら、それぞれの母国の自然や思い出について語り合う姿も見られました。

今回のフィールドトリップは、日本の自然環境や地域の環境保全活動への理解を深めるとともに、参加者同士の交流を深める貴重な機会となりました。

On June 5, 2026, a field trip for international students was conducted under the guidance of Professor Emeritus Koike, visiting Segamisawa in Sakae ward, Yokohama.

After studying the firefly habitat conservation activities carried out by residents in Segamisawa area through preparatory materials, the students observed fireflies at dusk.

While enjoying the enchanting sight of fireflies glowing and dancing in the rich natural environment, the international students were also sharing memories of nature in their home countries.

This field trip provided a valuable opportunity to deepen understanding of natural environment and local conservation efforts, while also fostering interaction among participants.
